Bicyclist killed in traffic crash in Ocoee

The crash occurred Monday, Dec. 5, at the intersection of State Road 429 northbound off-ramp and West Colonial Drive.

One male bicyclist was killed in an afternoon traffic crash Monday, Dec. 5, in Ocoee.

According to Ocoee Police Department reports, at about 4:11 p.m., officers responded to a crash involving a motor vehicle and a bicyclist at the intersection of State Road 429 northbound off-ramp and West Colonial Drive

The bicyclist, whose identity is not being released pending family notification, was transported to Orlando Health — Health Central Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The crash is currently being investigated by the Ocoee Police Department. Anyone with any information regarding this case is asked to contact the Ocoee Police Department, Traffic Homicide Unit, at (407) 905-3160.
