Cheap seats

The Winter Park Playhouse recently launched a new student rush ticket program, "$10 @ 10,” offering students 25 years old and younger the opportunity to purchase tickets for $10 to Main stage productions with available seats 10 minutes before the performance begins. Students may arrive at The Winter Park Playhouse as early as one hour before each performance and put their name on the student rush list. Available tickets will be released in order 10 minutes prior to the performance.

Dog hostage scammers

Scambook, an online complaint resolution platform, is warning dog owners of fake animal control officer scams after a fraudster infiltrated a Florida retirement community and stole $550 from an elderly couple. Possessing a fraudulent badge, ID, and business cards, the scammer was allowed access into the community and cited alleged complaints from neighbors, causing the victims to choose between paying $550 immediately or having their dog taken away.
