Ice cream social raises $18,000

Nearly 1,000 people attended the sixth annual ice cream social last month to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida, raising more than $18,000. The event has raised more than $118,000 in its six years. In a matter of hours, 90 volunteers turned the Winter Park Civic Center into a cheery, fun-filled space with entertainment, games, a silent auction, cake walk, celebrity servers, a photo booth, and, of course, delicious ice cream.
