It's already election season again in Winter Park, and four candidates are hoping to have a victory under their belts on the second Tuesday in March.

Qualifying week for Winter Park candidates closed on Tuesday, giving the city a head start compared to other cities in the county.

As has become a custom in recent Winter Park elections, two candidates are facing off for each of two available seats.

All are newcomers to candidacy in the city, as current commissioners Phil Anderson and Beth Dillaha will be stepping down at the end of their current terms, which expire this year.

Prominent local attorney Bonnie Jackson will face public educator Sarah Sprinkel for Dillaha's Seat 2.

For Anderson's Seat 1, Community Redevelopment Advisory Board member Scott Callahan will challenge Steven Leary.
