Gotha Middle travels to Washington, D.C.

Gotha Middle School’s eighth-grade History Club traveled to Washington, D.C., over the Memorial Day weekend.

The students visited a variety of monuments, memorials and historical sites including Monticello (home of Thomas Jefferson), Mount Vernon (home of George Washington), The Naval Academy and Arlington National Cemetery. The students from the History Club paid tribute to former Gotha Middle School student and fallen soldier Michael E. McGahan by placing flowers on his grave.
