Donations scam
The city has been informed that individuals have been making solicitation calls identifying themselves as representatives of the Maitland Police or Fire Rescue Department. These parties are soliciting residents for donations for firefighters and police officers. This is clearly a fraudulent attempt to acquire private personal financial information. Please be aware that the Maitland Fire Rescue Department and Maitland Police Department will never solicit donations from anyone.
