Linda Harden Carnell, age 70, of Montverde, Florida, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019, in San Mateo, California, with her family by her side. She was a multi-generational Montverde resident, born on June 22, 1948.

She graduated from Clermont High School and UCF with an emphasis in social work. She retired from Winter Garden's Hope Charter School in 2013 after decades teaching in public schools.

She was an avid horsewoman, lover of animals, gardener and Christian. She dedicated her life to her family. Her incredible faith, enthusiasm for life and extraordinary love never faltered through her long battle with dementia.

She is survived by her daughter, Ky Autumn Russell; son-in-law, Will, granddaughter, Trillium; and siblings, David Harden, Roddy Harden, Jean Gonzales and Joe Harden.

She was predeceased by her parents, Margaret Martin Harden and Clarence Harden; former husband, Richard Carnell; and siblings, Laverne McCarthy, Carey Harden and Clarence Harden.

Donations can be made in her honor to Cindy’s Celebrations. A memorial service to celebrate her spirit will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 13, at First Baptist Church in Winter Garden, Florida. She will be buried in a private ceremony at the Montverde Cemetery.
