Randy Alan Dollar, of Ocoee, Florida, passed away peacefully Sunday, Feb. 23, 2020, at the Health Central Park in Winter Garden, Florida, surrounded by close family. 

Randy was born in Winter Garden, Florida, on June 8, 1954. He grew up in Winter Garden and graduated from Lakeview High School in 1972. He is preceded in death by his parents, Olin Harrison and Rosalee (Jones) Dollar, and Morris Glen Brimer (father-in-law).

Randy married Glenda Renee Brimer Dollar of Ocoee, Florida, on April 23, 1976. They were able to celebrate 43 years of marriage prior to his death. He is survived by Glenda and their two children, Michael Alan Dollar, Ocoee Florida, and Amanda Renee Dollar Williams (Mark), Ocoee, Florida; four grandchildren, Emily Dollar, Ashlyn, Alyssa and Alexandra Williams; also by his mother-in-law, Betty Jean Scarboro Brimer; brothers-in-law, Glen Brimer (Susie), Steve Brimer (Marilyn), sister-in-law, Cendy Love (Dale); brother-in-law, Jerry Brimer (Patsy), brother-in-law, Danny Brimer (Letty); plus many nieces and nephews.

 Randy was hired by the City of Winter Garden Fire Department in November 1974 as a Fire Inspector. He rose through the ranks from a Fire Inspector, Firefighter, Lieutenant and then Captain. In 1984, he was a Division Commander, he was promoted to Assistant Chief in 1985, and he was appointed as the city's Fire Chief in July 1994, a position he held until his retirement.

Randy retired in January 2002 after more than 27 years of service to the department and the City of Winter Garden. He was very passionate about the Fire Department, everything it involved and helping others.

The family of Randy Dollar cordially invites you to join in celebrating his life at the Evolve Church, located at 10564 Second Ave., Ocoee, FL 34761, on Saturday, March 7, 2020. The family will receive visitors from noon to 1 p.m. to share stories and remember a life lived to the fullest. The celebration will start promptly at 1 p.m. with refreshments to follow.
