This week will kick-start the Ocoee Fire Department's annual holiday event.

Jolly Old Saint Nicholas will ride through neighborhoods aboard a festive holiday float built by the Ocoee Fire Department and volunteers as part of "Operation Santa."

When the holiday float arrives in neighborhoods, residents are encouraged to give Santa new and unwrapped toys.

The toys will be donated to the department's holiday "Toys for Kids in Need" drive.

The float will travel through 76 Ocoee neighborhoods tossing candy and spreading holiday cheer for a good cause.

Operation Santa will occur on select evenings beginning Tuesday, Nov. 30.
