Requests for three separate development projects in Ocoee will be discussed in the upcoming City Commission meeting.

City leaders will vote on the second readings of ordinances related to the three projects during the March 17 commission meeting.

The first project request is related to the Shoppes at West Oaks Planned Development (PD) located at 9000 West Colonial Driving. The subject site is approximately 4.10 and contains parking, drive isles and a vacant pad next to the Aldi Grocery Store located on the property. The applicant is requesting a zoning of planned unit development (PUD) to allow for the construction of a four-story office, retail and self-storage facility. Also included within the footprint will be a small addition to the Aldi Grocery Store.

The second project is for the West Orange Medical Center and involves two parcels — located at 3442 and 3462 Old Winter Garden Road — that total 1.21 acres. Both properties are zoned Orange County A-1 (rural/agriculture) and are both being used as single-family residences. The applicant is requesting that both properties be annexed into the city and receive a zoning of planned unit development - commercial (PUD-COMM) upon annexation.

The final project request is for a 1.73-acre property located at 1414 E. Silver Star Road that is owned by Crystal Investments. The applicant is requesting a substantial change amendment to the planned unit development land-use plan. The property is currently zoned as a planned unit development for an assisted living facility. The applicant is requesting to amend the planned unit development zoning to allow for a two-story professional office and retail building.
