The title of mayor pro tem soon could be going to a different Ocoee city commissioner.

City Commissioners will be electing a new mayor pro tem during the March 3 commission meeting. Commissioners will choose among themselves who will serve as the city’s next mayor pro tem. Currently, Commissioner George Oliver serves as the city’s mayor pro tem.

In 2007, the Ocoee City Commission enacted a policy to elect the mayor pro tem annually, even during non-election years, by seniority.

Any residents with questions or concerns may contact Ocoee City Hall at (407) 905-3100.
