They say that all things — both good and bad — eventually come to an end. Finding the good in Barack Obama in 2011 is difficult indeed for old eyes forced to condone chaos.

The naive might interpret Obama’s reckless usurpation of our national credit card as the glee of one fascinated by the use of newfound political/financial power.

However, to the mystically inclined, there is an evil higher power, an international Lucifer, whispering in Obama’s ear and instructing him how to misplay our cards.

The trillions of dollars that Obama has frittered away have, many believe, been simply the present installment in a demonic plan to decimate the wealth and power of the greatest nation on Earth, the one where democracy has been given the best chance to enhance the life of the average man.

The evil mastermind, who met with some 70 super-wealthy power-wielders in Phoenix six years ago, has long ago shifted his base to this country, and has set about methodically destroying the U.S. and our economic system as fast as he and his many smaller groups of America-haters can. The Phoenix idea was to employ a scheme that would leave nothing standing of the edifice started by George Washington and his brethren. The U.S. would become just one more little common undistinguished country.

One of the contemporary intellectuals whom I respect most, economist Thomas Sowell, said recently, “The current Occupy Wall Street movement is the best illustration to date of what President Barack Obama's America looks like. It is an America where the lawless, unaccomplished, ignorant and incompetent rule. It is an America where those who have sacrificed nothing pillage and destroy the lives of those who have sacrificed greatly. It is an America where history is rewritten to honor dictators, murderers and thieves. It is an America where violence, racism, hatred, class warfare and murder are all promoted as acceptable means of overturning the American civil society. … Barack Obama has brought more destruction upon this country in four years than any other event in the history of our nation, but it is just the beginning of what he and his comrades are capable of. The Occupy Wall Street movement is just another step in their plan for the annihilation of America. ‘Socialism, in general, has a record of failure so blatant that only an intellectual could ignore or evade it.’ ”

Thomas Sowell’s bleak assessment is that of one black citizen’s differences with another’s.

Sowell has long been revered by the educated of this country as a man of high erudition and penetrating insight. He has, from the beginning, seen what is good in our society and used it to promote himself to the top of today’s intellectual world. Sowell loves America and believes in it.

Barack Obama has risen to the top of his perfidious group of America-haters and now sits in the White House as a president who manifestly despises all that the United States is. He is pledged to “change” this country.

Why we elected him is an enigma, but he is poised in a position to continue to do us all great harm. Obama’s party controls the media, and no matter how much we want and need to replace him, stopping his second term will be a supreme task. If we do not succeed, we may lose our country.
