WINTER GARDEN  Winter Garden Police Department officers have arrested Cesar Guerrero, 25, on a charge of sexual assault not likely to cause injury stemming from a June 13 incident at Massage Envy.

An investigation was open for six months, with police and Florida Department of Health officials ultimately deciding to press charges Dec. 10. Because Guerrero was able to meet $1,000 for bail, law enforcement officials released him a few hours after his arrest from Lake County Jail.

Guerrero, who lives in Clermont and obtained his massage therapy license in 2013, denied allegations and said his hand could have slipped accidentally during a massage on a woman.

That woman told authorities Guerrero had rubbed her breasts in an inappropriate manner she had never encountered in many years of massage therapy, according to reports.

Officials at Massage Envy fired Guerrero days after the incident. He became a licensed masseur in 2013, records show.

"Massage Envy and its franchisees take every allegation of inappropriate conduct very seriously," Karen Sung said in a statement on behalf of Massage Envy. "We strictly enforce our code of conduct and zero-tolerance policy and impose serious consequences for those who violate them to ensure our guests have a safe and professional experience when they visit our franchises. The therapist at issue is no longer employed by the franchisee.”
