The two burned bodies found on the Cady Way Trail early Sunday morning are of Winter Park High School students, police confirmed on Wednesday.

Nicholas Presha, 16, and Jeremy Stuart, 18, were found engulfed in flames in an area adjacent to the trail between Metric Drive and Forsyth Road at about 6:30 a.m. Sunday.

Investigators think the deaths are connected to a small fire at a nearby storage shed at the Sun Bay Apartments.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office requests that anyone with information about the case or could help to identify a suspect or suspects, call CrimeLine at 1-800-423-TIPS.

On Wednesday afternoon, Presha and Stuart’s Facebook pages were overflowing with comments from friends and family expressing sadness and outrage and seeking answers.

“I'm frozen in shock on what's happening right now. I'm not only feeling terrible that it was confirmed it was them, I'M PISSED! NOBODY deserves to die this way especially highschool students with a future and now they can't live it,” a friend wrote on Presha’s page.

“RIP Jeremy. I love you bud. You were such a good hearted kid. You made me laugh every day. No matter what anyone says about you, you were such a sweet person, and you had good intentions. I love you so much bud. Rest easy ♥” a friend wrote on Stuart’s page.

Friend Tyler Winters has created a Facebook event “Candle light for Nic Persha & Jeremy Stewart.” The candlelight vigil will take place from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday at the Cady Way Bridge, according to the page.

“Lets light up winter park everybody . Gone but never forgotten♥ REST IN PEACE BOYS,” a friend wrote on the wall for the event.
