As small businesses in downtown Winter Garden begin to feel the financial strains caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the City of Winter Garden is looking to help.

On Monday, March 23, the city announced it was launching its “Downtown Winter Garden Curbside Program,” which will provide complimentary “Downtown Ambassadors” to deliver items — purchased from downtown restaurants and shops — to vehicles at designated curbside pickup locations throughout downtown.

The process is simple and broken down into four steps: Place an order via phone or website from a downtown store or restaurant; arrive and park in a designated curbside pick-up location (or nearest parking spot); call to inform staff that you have arrived and where you would like the order to be delivered (window delivery, trunk, et cetera). Your order will then be delivered to your vehicle while maintaining sanitary and social-distancing procedures.

You can check out the program’s Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/WG.curbside/), Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/wg.curbside/) and Twitter (twitter.com/@WGcurbside) for more information.
