August is always a slower month for events in Baldwin Park. People are getting in their last-minute vacations and getting ready for the start of school. There are a couple of events that continue to grow in Baldwin Park, and you should check them out.
The First Friday Charity Festival & Art Stroll will be from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 3, along New Broad Street in the Village Center. More than 40 local artists of all genres will display their works of art while guests shop, stroll and sip through the heart of downtown Baldwin Park. The Arts Hub Florida and Baldwin Park Merchants Association are sponsors of the First Friday series that offers live music, drink specials, free samples, interactive activities and much more. This monthly event is free to the public, and is both family and pet friendly. The event will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, an organization that is fighting to cure and control cystic fibrosis and to improve the quality of life of those with the disease.
