New signs to help visitors find their way!

In early June, the city was busily installing 22 new way finding signs within its core downtown area. This new signage is a part of the city’s overall plan to help people find their way to various city amenities as they travel through the heart of our city.

Now with the completion of Phase I (the installation of interior way finding signs), the city will continue working with the Florida Department of Transportation to complete Phase II, the installation of additional way finding signage along the major state roads that border our city: Lee Road, Fairbanks Avenue and U.S. Highway 17-92. Once all the way finding signs are in place, visitors, rarely, if ever, will need their GPS system again to find all of the wonderful treasures the city has to offer.
