Students cleaning up their act with science

Orlando Science Charter School’s fifth grade students recently dove headfirst into OUC’s A.W.E.S.O.M.E. Project to learn about the water cycle and natural resources in Florida. The Alternative Water and Energy Supply; Observation, Methods and Education (A.W.E.S.O.M.E.) Project educated local students about water supply and sustainability, as well as alternative energy. Students engaged in hands-on experiments and demonstrations explaining how water is purified. The public charter school emphasizes excellence in STEM-related subjects, particularly science.
