HomeBanc names new senior vice president

HomeBanc N.A. has named Thomas R. Wallace as senior vice president, commercial loan officer for HomeBanc. He is based in Orlando. Wallace brings 21 years of commercial lending experience to HomeBanc. He holds a Master’s of Business Administration degree from the University of Tulsa and a Bachelor of Science degree from Oral Roberts University. His community and professional affiliations include the Risk Management Association's Florida State Chapter Board and Central Florida Board; the Central Florida YMCA Finance Committee; and Central Florida Council Boy Scouts of America's Council Advisory Committee, Ft. Gatlin District Chairman and Assistant Scoutmaster.

Bank collects money for Camaraderie Foundation

Fifth Third Bank (North Florida) recently collected $33,000 for the Camaraderie Foundation, a nonprofit organization that serves local veterans and their families. The bank received $23,000 in donations and matched $10,000 of those funds through its annual Veterans Day campaign. Founded in 2009, the Camaraderie Foundation provides scholarships for private counseling, community support networks, and mentor leadership programs for local military veterans and their families. To date, more than 2,000 community members have been helped by the organization.

Broker earns unique CRMP status

Tim Linger, a reverse mortgage specialist and CEO and broker of Orlando’s 1-866-REVERSE Mortgage, has joined an elite cadre of mortgage professionals who have achieved the status of being a Certified Reverse Mortgage Professional. National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association, headquartered in Washington, D.C., bestowed the certification on Linger after he passed a rigorous exam and background check, thereby demonstrating a competency in the area of reverse mortgages and a dedication to uphold the highest ethical and professional standards. Only 96 individuals nationwide currently have the CRMP credential.
