Thank you, Maitland, for a fantastic event

Thank you, Maitland, for your participation in this Saturday's Season of Light celebration.

Santa’s coming to town on Saturday

The tentative schedule and route for the Santa’s Parade, taking place on Saturday, Dec. 10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. has been posted on itsmymaitland.com. The schedule and time is subject to change based on traffic conditions or unforeseen circumstances. Need to know where Santa is on Saturday morning? The Maitland Police Department will intermittently post Santa's whereabouts on the city's Facebook page at facebook.com/itsmymaitland. The Maitland Police Department discourages residents from calling the station to get information regarding Santa during the parade. Instead, MPD encourages residents to follow the city's Facebook page to track the status – and location – of Santa. The city’s Facebook page will be the most reliable source of information for tracking Santa in Maitland on Saturday.

Watch a double feature with your family and friends

Join your family and friends to watch a double feature at Screen on the Green on Saturday, Dec. 17, at 6 p.m. Faithful Screen on the Green participants will recall that “Frozen” was the December movie in 2014. Fast forward two years later, the encore presentation of “Frozen” begins at 6 p.m., followed by “The Good Dinosaur” at 8 p.m. This is the last Screen on the Green until the spring. Bring your blankets and chairs to the Maitland Middle School Soccer Field at 1701 Choctaw Trail and we will give you the stars.
