Oakland offering sandbags prior to T.S. Colin’s arrival

The town will provide up to 10 sandbags per household June 6 and 7 at Town Hall.

The town of Oakland is providing unfilled sandbags to residents until 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, June 6 and 7, at Town Hall because of the impending arrival of Tropical Storm Colin. There is a limit of 10 bags per residence.
If conditions worsen, town officials will be adjusting when and where sandbags will be available. The town recommends residents fuel their vehicles and make sure they have candles, flashlights and extra batteries.
