Second reading: Permission for MRI or imaging center

City leaders will see the second reading of an ordinance that seeks to modify the current PCD (Planned Commercial Development) zoning on 1.93 acres of land located at 1991 Daniels Road, on the northeast corner of Daniels and Roper Roads. Ordinance 15-28 passed by the city in May 2015, prohibited MRI and imaging centers. The applicant is now requesting to amend that ordinance in order to allow for an MRI or imaging center as a permitted use.

Second reading: Dillard Pointe PUD

After being postponed twice on both Feb. 23 and March 9 due to the applicant's request, Winter Garden city leaders will vote on ordinance 17-04, which proposes the rezoning of 2.29 acres at 555 N. Dillard St. from City R-1 to City PUD. The property, which used to host a hospital that was demolished more than a decade ago, currently consists of an open grassy area with scattered trees. The applicant is requesting the rezoning to allow for the development of 12 single-family homes, six of which will be allowed to build a garage apartment, or granny flat. Homes would all have front porches and stick to specific design and architectural guidelines.
