Winter Garden commissioners will consider a resolution during their April 22 meeting that would adopt a downtown golf cart district.

Resolution 21-05 would establish new areas throughout the city for golf-cart use, identifying streets on which golf carts will be allowed and providing corresponding signage.

If passed, the resolution would add a number of new roads on which golf carts would be permitted, as designated by the map below.

Also up for consideration at the City Commission meeting is a proposed land donation agreement to be executed between the city and West Orange Habitat for Humanity.

The agreement would allow the city to donate land at 275 Center Street in east Winter Garden to the organization. This would allow for the construction of four new homes to help encourage new home ownership in east Winter Garden.

The City Commission meets at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 22, at the City Hall Commission Chambers, 300 W. Plant St. To view the agenda and instructions on how to attend via remote electronic attendance, click here.
