Second victim in Ocoee triple shooting dies, police say

Police said 22-year-old Jamy Blanc succumbed to his injuries at Orlando Regional Medical Center.

The second of three victims in an early-morning shooting in Ocoee has died, police say.

According to Ocoee police, 22-year-old Jamy Blanc succumbed to his injuries on Sunday, Jan. 17.

At 3:39 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, police responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash in the parking lot of an Aldi at 9250 W. Colonial Drive. Upon arrival, officers said, they found three men who had been shot inside the silver Nissan Altima. Police said the car belonged to Blanc.

One of the men – whose identity is pending confirmation and notification of family – was pronounced dead at the scene. Blanc and another victim, 19-year-old Kens Fregiste, were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where police say Fregiste remains in critical condition.

No arrests have been made. The case remains under investigation. Police ask anyone with information to contact the Ocoee Police Department at (407) 905-3160 or CrimeLine at (800) 423-TIPS to remain anonymous.

"At this time, we are seeking the community's help to please, please come forward with any information – anyone that you may know, anyone that was in the area that has any information on this case," Ocoee Police Lt. Mireya Iannuzzi in a media briefing Jan. 16.
