A special club at West Orange High School is asking the community to come together for a spirit night in support of local animals.

The school's Action for Animals club raises awareness of local organizations that benefit animals in need through service drives and fundraisers.

The club's latest fundraiser will be a spirit night in order to raise support for Candy's Cats Inc

The local non-profit adoption center aims to "make a determined effort within our community to educate our residents about the tragedy of 'throwaway' kittens and cats," according to the organization's website.

Spirit night will be hosted at the Five Guys in Winter Garden on Daniels Road beginning at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 27.

Twenty percent of the profits will be donated to Candy's.
