Orange County asks for feedback on changes to roads near Horizon West

The Transportation Planning Division is looking for feedback on changes to Avalon and Flemings Road.

Orange County is asking for the communities feedback on changes potentially being made to Avalon Road and Flemings Road. 

Orange County's Transportation Planning Division has initiated a transportation improvement study for the widening of Avalon Road to a four-lane divided roadway from Water Springs Blvd. to south of New Hartzog Road, 2.6 miles in length, and Flemings Road from east of 545 to the west county line, 1 mile in length. 

Beginning at 6 p.m. Orange County will be hosting a virtual meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 22. to discuss the road transformations. 

The meeting will feature Mayor Jerry L. Demings and District One Commissioner Nicole H. Wilson and will update citizens on the design study. 

Those who cannot attend the event can still have their say by filling out the survey on their experiences of the roads which can be found here.
