Orange County Public Schools is continuing its superintendent search process this week.

The ongoing search, which we first told you about here, started soon after current superintendent Dr. Barbara Jenkins announced her retirement in February.

In May, OCPS announced the name of the three semifinalists for the superintendent position.

Now, OCPS is down to two finalists, Dr. Maria F. Vazquez and Dr. Peter B. Licata.

The process will continue with the school board interviewing the finalists on Tuesday, June 21.

The school board is next scheduled to select the new superintendent at the upcoming school board meeting at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28.
