Winter Garden City Commission to meet tonight

The City Commission meets at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 23, at the City Hall Commission Chambers.

The Winter Garden City Commission will hold a regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 23, at the City Hall Commission Chambers, 300 W. Plant St. 

Commissioners will first hear the second reading and public hearing of several proposed ordinances pertaining to the rezoning of east Winter Garden, the final step in the annexation process.

Regular business items include a recommendation to approve an agreement for acquisition of right-of-way from Dillard Street from Property Investment Specialist Inc. and a recommendation to approve an agreement for acquisition of right-of-way from Dillard Street from Story Road Investment LLC as well as a recommendation to waive the formal procurement process and award a purchase order to Advantage Courts, LLC. in the amount of $59,885.

In addition, City Manager Jon C. Williams will discuss establishing budget hearing dates for Fiscal Year 2022-23 with the commission and there will be a resolution by the city commission to adopt a statement recognizing diversity, equity and inclusion.
