Deputy Scott Pine Park was filled with shirts of many different colors as teams from all over Florida participated in Windermere High School's first women's flag football invitational Saturday, March 26.
Participating high schools included Harmony, Matanzas, Dr. Phillips, Sumner, Wekiva, Trinity Catholic, Boone, East Lake, East Bay, Liberty, Lennard, Apopka, Martin County, Riverview and Windermere.
The event lasted all day, with the first games starting at 8:45 a.m. and the last ones set for 5:30 p.m.
Coach Mike Stringer-Bratton said the Wolverines hope to host the invitational annually.
