The Central Florida Cyclist club is collecting donations again this year to provide bicycles to a group of deserving children at the Maxey Community Center.

This is the fourth year the CFC club, led by founder James Bertrand, has collected money to purchase bikes and helmets.

The first year, seven children received bikes. In 2021, the club raised nearly $8,000; last year, $13,380 was raised and 37 bicycles were given away.

This year’s goal is $15,000 to purchase 50 bikes and accessories.

A GoFundMe account has been set up; to make a donation, visit bit.ly/3GFLDvt. The deadline is Dec. 23.

The CFC cycling group rides throughout Central Florida.
