Winter Park celebrates Independence Day in Central Park.
Winter Park and the surrounding community came together on Tuesday morning to celebrate Independence Day with live music, free food, and tons of activities. Both children and adults enjoyed the essential Fourth of July fare – from free hot dogs to watermelon – as the Bach Festival Brass Band and Bach Festival Choir performed patriotic songs. Later in the morning children of all ages dressed themselves, and their bicycles, in their most patriotic outfits as they paraded up and down Park Avenue. A special moment during the day occurred on the main stage in Central Park, where 17 individuals from 11 different countries participated in a naturalization ceremony – taking the final step to becoming new citizens of the United States.
