The Windermere Prep Lakers remained undefeated on Friday with a 52-14 win over Bishop McLaughlin to celebrate the program's Homecoming.
The night was highlighted by the game, which was played at Disney's ESPN Wide World of Sports, the crowning of the king and queen and Michael Stones' kickoff return touchdown.
The touchdown by Stones is unique in that it is the fifth kickoff return for a touchdown by Stones, a senior, in as many games. Windermere Prep coaches believe Friday's touchdown set a national record for consecutive games with a kick return touchdown.
The Lakers are 7-0 and will host Community School of Naples next Friday, Oct. 31, in the opening round of the Sunshine State Athletic Conference Playoffs.
