The Trees of the Season event highlights six beautiful Christmas trees decorated by organizations and members of the community.
The town of Oakland is hosting its first-ever holiday tree decorating contest, Trees of the Season, at the Healthy West Orange Arts and Heritage Center.
Six families, schools, nonprofit organizations and businesses participated and used their creativity decorate eye-catching trees: Healthy West Orange, the Fontenot and Ross family, the Curious Pangolin, the town of Oakland, Oakland Nature Preserve, and Bridgewater Middle School.
Trees of the Season is on display at the heritage center until Jan. 3, and visitors have the chance to vote for their favorite tree. The winner will be announced on the center’s social media page.
The center is at 126 W. Petris Ave. and is open for visitors from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays.
