Benoit Glazer and Elaine Corriveau, founders of the Timucua Arts Foundation, shared how they retrofitted their living room into a music venue. The couple has hosted 800 performances since they began hosting concerts in 2000.

Benjamin Hardy, the bestselling author of “Willpower doesn’t work,” spoke during the event’s first session, which focused on relationships, about the struggles he endured trying to adopt his three children in South Carolina.

Savannah Boan, an animal-education ambassador at Gatorland, shared the lessons she’s learned while working at Gatorland to influence the common negative perceptions surrounding the ancient reptiles.

Jan Jahosky, and her niece Hannah Jahosky, traveled from Oviedo and Longwood to hear the speakers invited to share their stories at the TEDxOrlando event.

Mile Jacobina, Debo Ofsowitz and TEDx speaker Lu Mueller-Kaul mingled during the afterparty. Kaul shared her insights on the co-living movement, “Loneliness is more dangerous than cancer or obesity,” Kaul said during her talk.

Laura Gallaher, an organizational psychologist, spoke about her experience living in 10 countries while working remotely the past year. “What if home isn’t a place,” Gallaher asked. “What if home is a state of being?"

The TEDxOrlando event, which was held at Full Sail University, focused on the theme of Home and featured live presentations and prerecorded talks from 11 speakers.

TEDx speaker Salvador Almagro-Moreno and Melissa Koch, co-organizer of TEDxOrlando, talk during the event’s afterparty. Almagro-Moreno is a Ph.D. evolutionary biologist who shared his passion for the study of bacteria and water.

Niennah Coulombe and Cat Ridgeway, from the Orlando-based band Cat Ridgeway and The Tourists, enjoyed hearing the event’s speakers.

Full Sail students Justice McCray and Basil Ramos were ecstatic for the opportunity to hear from local community leaders and innovators at the event.
