“Flu Shot Fridays”, hosted by Winter Park’s Fire-Rescue Department, will take place from 9 a.m. to noon from Friday, Sept. 3 through Friday, Nov. 26 at Station 62, 300 S. Lakemont Ave. Flu shots will also be given during September from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays at the Winter Park Farmers’ Market, 200 W. New England Ave. This year’s shot is both the seasonal and H1N1 shot combined. For those insured primarily with Medicare Part B, there is no charge for a flu shot. Seed the Forest, from 7-11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4 at the Neon Forest Gallery, 1741 S. The Winter Park Breakfast Rotary Club and the Woman’s Club of Winter Park have partnered to present the Rotary Rummage Sale. The event, scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 6 at the Woman’s Club of Winter Park, provides an opportunity to support several local charities while purchasing gently used items.
