The Art & History Museums—Maitland (A&H), located at 231 Packwood Ave. W., will open a new exhibition, Participation: Class of 2011 and 2012, Thursday, March 21. Participation is a popular annual fundraising event held at the A&H each spring. The exhibition, which continues through May 19, is held in Galleries 1-3 of the A&H’s Main Galleries. On Thursday, March 21, at 2 p.m., Winter Park Care & Rehabilitation Center, located at 2970 Scarlet Road, will host a gathering of at least six leaders of different world faith traditions including, Buddhism, Afro-Caribbean faith, and Islam among others. Each leader will address major misconceptions about their tradition, followed by time for questions. The symposium will be moderated by the Rev. James Coffin, the Executive Director of the Interfaith Council of Central Florida. Following the presentation, Samaritan Care Hospice will provide food to guests. Art Off the Wall from Pam Loudon will be Thursday, March 21, from 6-9 p.m. at the Audubon Park Garden District, located at 1807 B E. Winter Park Road.

The Orange Audubon Society will feature The Trouble with Turtles: Protecting Sea Turtles at Canaveral National Seashore by John Stiner, resource management specialist at Canaveral National Seashore, Thursday, March 21, at 7 p.m. at Leu Gardens, located at 1920 N. Forest Ave. in Orlando. Almost 6,000 sea turtle nests were deposited last year at Canaveral National Seashore, which harbors 24 miles of undeveloped beach, the longest such stretch on the east coast of Florida. The 40,000-acre Mosquito Lagoon, situated behind the barrier island, serves as an important nursery site for juvenile sea turtles. Stiner will present some of the issues, challenges, and rewards of managing this special resource. Art, fun and food trucks will be available at the Gallery at Carey Hand Cox-Parker Funeral Home, located at 1350 W. The fifth annual Bike from Park to Park event on Friday, March 22, will begin from the Central Park West Meadow, located at 150 N. The Central Florida Home & Garden Show will take place from Friday, March 22, to Sunday, March 24, at the Orange County Convention Center’s South Hall B in the Center’s North/Sound building on Universal. Valencia College will hold its annual Spring Dance Concert at 8 p.m. Friday, March 22, and Saturday, March 23, at the Performing Arts Center on Valencia College’s East Campus, located at 701 N. The fitness enthusiasts at Zimmerman, Kiser & Sutcliffe, P.A., invite you to celebrate 36 years of running right where it all began: Park Avenue in Winter Park. The Zimmerman Kiser Sutcliffe Winter Park Road Race will begin Saturday, March 23, at 7 a.m. at 251 Park Ave. S. The event will begin with a 2-mile run at 7 a.m., followed by a 10K at 7:30 a.m., the 2-mile Awards at 8:15 a.m., and the 10K Awards at 9 a.m. A Healthy Kids’ Run will also take place at 9:15 a.m., followed by the Track Shack Running Series Awards Ceremony at 10 a.m. This is the Grand Finale of the Track Shack Running Series. The Orange Audubon Society’s March field trip will be Saturday, March 23, to Viera Wetlands and Click Ponds in Melbourne. Wading birds, different duck species and raptors can be found in Viera. The Art & History Museums – Maitland (A&H) will hold its next Artist Critique & Conversation, at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, at the A&H’s Germaine Marvel Building, located at 210 W. Packwood Ave. Designed for artists of every medium and skill level, the program is free and the public is encouraged to attend. Each Critique is led by artist, arts writer and instructor Josh Garrick. Joining Garrick as guest panelists on March 26 are popular artists, Thomas Thorspecken and Camilo Velasquez. After the critiques, artists and guests can engage in social time and peer review. A bar is available with beer, wine, water and soft drinks. The Breakthrough Theatre of Winter Park, located at 421 W. Fairbanks Ave., will present the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice musical, "Jesus Christ Superstar", from Monday, March 25-April 15, 2013. Jesus Christ Superstar is a rock opera by Andrew Lloyd Webber, with lyrics by Tim Rice. The musical, which started as a rock opera concept recording before its first staging on Broadway in 1971, is based very loosely on the Gospels' accounts of the last week of Jesus' life, beginning with the preparation for the arrival of Jesus and his disciples in Jerusalem and ending with the crucifixion. Brio Tuscan Grille, located at 480 N. Orlando Ave. in Winter Park, will host Wine on Wednesdays through April 10 from 6-8 p.m. to raise money for New Hope for Kids’ programs. Through April 16 AARP will be offering free tax assistance Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon-4 p.m. at the Maitland Senior Center, located at 345 S.
