Pumpkins and Munchkins comes to Shady Park from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Halloween night. Children of all ages are invited to join for games, bounce houses, a costume contest, Trick-or-Treat Trail and lots of fun for the entire family. It’s free at 721 W. Middle school teens, are you looking for something fun to do Friday night? Head over to the Roth JCC for a night of spirited singing and engaging fun! We will have a camp-style dinner and there will be plenty of creative activities as we come together for a meaningful Shabbat! Join us! It’s from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 1 at 851 N. On Friday, Nov. 8, at 10 a.m. the city of Winter Park will be presenting its third annual Veterans Day Celebration. This event will be held in honor of all of the veterans of Winter Park at the Winter Park Community Center Ruby Ball Amphitheater located at 721 W. New England Ave. We are calling all veterans that have served in any military campaign (World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War, Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom or Afghanistan) or have served in any military branch in honor of our nation’s freedom. Lake Sybelia Elementary is holding its first Dolphin Dash and 5K on Saturday, Nov. 9 starting at 8:30 a.m. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and we would like to invite everyone in our community to join us at this great event. We have teamed with Fleet Feet to make this an official timed 5K and we're looking forward to a spectacular day. We encourage all families to either walk or run the 5K. Students ages 10 and younger can also register for the Dolphin Dash if they choose. So lace up your sneakers and make a dash to register for our first annual Dolphin Dash and 5K!
