UPDATE: Police have identified one of victims of the shooting as 22-year-old Jamy Blanc.
In a media briefing at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 16, Ocoee Police Lt. Mireya Iannuzzi confirmed that Blanc is one of the victims who remains in critical condition. The identities of the other two victims are still unknown.
Iannuzzi said the original phone call to police was in response to a single-vehicle crash into a wall. When police arrived, they found the three victims inside the car with gunshot wounds. One was pronounced dead on scene and the other two were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, Iannuzzi said. She added that all three appeared to be young men.
"At this time, we are seeking the community's help to please, please come forward with any information – anyone that you may know, anyone that was in the area that has any information on this case," Iannuzzi said. "It is imperative that we have all those tips come in ... it's very important for us to be able to identify them so we can notify their families."
Ocoee police are investigating a shooting that left one dead and two others in critical condition.
Police said they responded to a shooting in the parking-lot area of 9250 W. Colonial Drive, near the Ocoee Aldi, at 3:39 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16. Upon arrival, officers said, they found three men who had been shot inside a silver Nissan Altima.
According to police, one of them men was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two were taken to the hospital in critical condition. No arrests have been made.
