The Windermere High School Wolverine Legacy Fund recently announced the transition of the organization to the new principal.

Established in 2017, the Wolverine Legacy Fund provides scholarship opportunities and grants to the students, clubs, classrooms, athletics, and performing arts departments at the school.

Principal Andrew Leftakis will take over the organization while the current board launches its new organization, "Legacy Events for Education."

David Terry, Executive Director for Legacy Events for Education, took to Facebook to announce the change last week.

"In the unique environment we are in today both with COVID and changes happening in fundraising, our board has chosen to expand our focus to include more students in the area and additional schools," the Facebook post said.

The board also stated the changes do not mean they will be contributing any less to the school.
