Windermere informs residents of traffic alert

OCU is completing work in the vicinity of East Sixth Avenue through Tuesday, Sept. 19.

The town of Windermere is informing its residents of a traffic alert in the vicinity of East Sixth Avenue through Tuesday, Sept. 19.

The work, which started Tuesday, Sept. 12, is street restoration on both the eastbound and westbound lanes in the area of 660 E. 6th Ave.

At least one lane will be open at all times.

The construction is being completed by Orange County Utilities.  

Work will begin after 9 a.m. each day, and work may be completed earlier than anticipated. 

The town said flagmen will be in place to direct traffic, but drivers should expect heavy congestion and delays in the area. 

Residents will have access to their homes at all times.
