The Florida Department of Health will no longer give daily updates on the COVID-19 pandemic, including new cases and deaths, now that more people are getting vaccinated and the positivity rate has fallen below 5%.

The state is shifting to the next phase of the pandemic, and Mayor Jerry Demings announced an end to Orange County’s state of emergency in his State of the County address on Friday, June 4. The state’s state of emergency remains in effect through June 26.

The health department will provide coronavirus reports each Friday.
