What do you love most about your school?

This school has become home to me. It is filled with strong, courageous and creative educators that I look up to. I’m extremely thankful for my students, who give me so much purpose daily. I could not be more grateful for the OACS family.

What is the favorite part of your job?

The most important aspect is the relationship that I have built with my students. I feel so blessed to be able to wake up every morning to spend hours with students, who are going to change the world.

What motivates you and pushes you to do your best?

My students are my biggest motivation. My students are smart, strong and astonishing! They are future teachers, doctors, lawyers, nurses, singers, soldiers, officers who will make a positive influence in this world. … I am so excited and proud to be their teacher. They are beyond special and my inspiration, always and forever.

What is the nicest thing a student or faculty member has done for you?

The students and faculty at OACS embody kindness, love and community. I simply can’t choose one moment. However, the greetings in the hallways and the heartfelt notes are my favorite. All the endless love from students and faculty will always have a special place in my heart.

What’s your favorite restaurant and favorite meal?

I have a few, however, I enjoy the Cheesecake Factory the most. My favorite meal is the Farfalle with Chicken and Roasted Garlic pasta. The meal isn’t complete without my favorite dessert to top it off, Oreo Cheesecake.

Favorite movie and why?

My favorite movie of all time is “The Lion King.” The incredible, steadfast bond between Mufasa and Simba reminds me of my relationship with my mother. I personally don't know what I would do without her. The loving connection that Mufasa and Simba hold inevitably succeeds DNA but is built on the foundations of friendship, trust, honesty and love. This storyline means so much to me.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

I’ve always (dreamed) of slipping into the skin of my favorite superhero, Shazam! I would love to have the ability to “zap” cancer away. I have witnessed too many loved ones suffer because of this disease.

What’s your favorite vacation spot and why?

One of my favorite things about traveling is embracing all of the little things that a country has to offer. Visiting Jamaica is always extra special and so beautiful. That place is an absolute paradise!

What do you like to do in your free time?

During my free time, I am boarding a flight, ready to embark on another adventure with my family. Traveling just brings me so much happiness.

What’s your favorite book and why?

My favorite book is "The Last Lecture," by Randy Pausch. I find the message of his lecture to be creative and inspiring, as he uses witty topics and analogies to share his thoughts. The words that Randy Pausch conveyed will forever play a role in my life today and forever.

What are some of your can’t miss TV Shows?

“This is Us” and “Grey’s Anatomy.”

If you could put four musicians on an alternate Mount Rushmore, who would it be?

Tye Tribbett, Adele, Beyoncé and Chance the Rapper.

Tell us about your family.

My family is my absolute world. My parents have been my backbone and my guiding light. As an only child, I would give anything to have a brother and sister. As a result, I consider my cousins, Dijon and Elizabeth, as my siblings. They are the funniest, self-less and my forever best friends. Last, but certainly not least, my goddaughter, Noelle, who is a very special treasure of my heart. She lights up the world with her infectious laughter and bold personality. I can’t wait for her innocent dreams to become a reality, not only for herself, but for the world. All in all, I love them endlessly!
