Winter Garden commissioners will discuss approving a site plan and road-construction agreement that pave the way to a second phase of a local assisted-living facility.
Both items are on the regular-business portion of the agenda for the Thursday, Feb. 11, City Commission meeting. The applicant is requesting these approvals for the development of Phase 2 of Golden Pond Communities.
The roughly 4.8-acre property, located at 450 Lakeview Road and 1001 W. Plant St., is currently undeveloped. It was recently rezoned to allow the development of a 33,077-square-foot, 60-bed assisted-living facility.
Aside from the site plan, approval of the road-construction agreement is for the 50-foot-wide access road being built for Phase 2. According to city documents, the road will be dedicated as city right-of-way. This agreement allows conveyance of the right-of-way to the city and grants the developer road-impact fee credits equal to the actual cost of the road improvements.
City Commission meets at 6:30 p.m. at the City Hall commission chambers, 300 W. Plant St. Residents can also join electronically. To view the agenda or to sign up to attend electronically, click here.
