FAIRBANKS AVENUE PUBLIC INPUT SESSION
As part of the regularly scheduled Winter Park City Commission meeting, the city will hold a Fairbanks Avenue Public Input Session on Monday, March 28, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., in City Hall Commission Chambers located at 401 S. Park Ave.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide an additional opportunity for any interested parties to share their thoughts, comments or concerns with the City Commission as it relates to the Fairbanks Avenue Improvement Project.
The improvement project includes the installation of a new gravity sewer system, repaving of Fairbanks, and beautification of the corridor. The project limits are along Fairbanks Avenue from Interstate 4 to
U.S. Highway 17-92, with sewer system improvements continuing along the Wymore Road Corridor (including Cambridge and Salisbury boulevards) from the Fairbanks Avenue/Cambridge Boulevard intersection to approximately 2,000 feet north of Lee Road.
Improvements such as raised medians, street lighting, pedestrian crossings, streetscape enhancements and sewer system installations are all proposed components of this plan to support the infrastructure for existing and future development needs along the Fairbanks Avenue corridor. The project construction is expected to start this summer.
To learn more about the project, please log on to the city’s official Web site at www.cityofwinterpark.org under Info At Your Fingertips > Fairbanks Avenue Improvement Project.
