Miller Legg improving natural lands

Miller Legg’s Winter Park office has been awarded a five-year continuing contract by Seminole County to improve its natural lands. Approximately $3.2 million in funding is available through a 2004 bond referendum.

FYAO gets on a bus

Eight winning nonprofit organizations will have their logos placed on a LYNX bus for the next year. Among the winners is Florida Young Artists Orchestra of Winter Park, a group of music professionals, teachers and community leaders committed to providing a positive orchestral experience for young musicians.

Rollins expands virtual reach

In an effort to maximize resources and accommodate curriculum demands, 16 liberal arts colleges, including Rollins College, of the Associated Colleges of the South (ACS) joined forces to offer online, interactive, upper-level courses through any ACS campus. It is dubbed “The New Paradigm Initiative,” and uses face-to-face and online instruction across all ACS campuses.

Historic building sold

NAI Realvest negotiated a $1.2 million sale price for the 36,264-square-foot, six-story historic office building and its 0.89-acre site at 101 East First St. in downtown Sanford.

Patio party raises $2,100

Fannie Hillman + Associates and many of its clients and closest friends attending the company’s annual patio party recently raised $2,100 and filled a van full of kitchen essentials for the Community Food & Outreach Center of Central Florida.

Loan made for $6 million

The Winter Park office of Richmond-based Transact AOCP recently arranged a $6 million loan agreement for Coral Industries Inc. of Tuscaloosa, Ala., by a multi-year debt facility provided by TAB Bank.
