What are you supposed to do when your 3-year-old looks up at you with those gorgeous eyes and says "Mommy, can we get some Jeremiah's?" I had no choice. The kid was sharing!
Day 4, I stayed pretty strong as far as the diet goes, except for the vanilla yogurt with sprinkles. Just for the record, I did clear this yogurt with my health coach. The decision was made that I would have to do a small workout on my day off! The trade sounded great at the time. Looking back I think I may have been hustled. Did my mother just trick me into working out 7 days a week by allowing me an ice-cream. The Italian family guilt is killing me.
Here is what the run down was for today:
Meal One: Sunrise Sunset with no Sugar from Tropical Smoothie
Meal Two: 6 Ounces Grilled Chicken from Cocina 214 on Welbourne Ave.. It was AWESOME! Along with some grilled veggies, including peppers and onions.
Meal Three: 1 Cup Yogurt
Meal Four: 2 Slices American Cheese
Meal Five: 6 Ounces Chicken with Watermelon
Meal Six: Come on you know this by now!! 1 cup Chocolate Milk
Remember the workout video "Sweating to the Oldies", well I didn't do that one! But I did do a workout video today. It is a high-energy dance video and I loved it. You learn dances to popular pop songs and the repetition really gets your heart rate going. My body is so used to running as a workout that when I switch it up, it seems to burn more calories and get my heart rate higher. I really suggest incorporating things you like to do into your workouts. I love dancing! So this workout was perfect.
Tomorrow is going to be really tough because some girlfriends and I are going to Luma on Park for dinner! I'll keep you posted on how to incorporate a healthy diet into your social life. Maybe Chef Brandon at Luma will give us some quick tips for eating healthy at Luma.
Any healthy tips on what to eat and drink when you eat out?
