Hump Day! Hang On!

Okay . . . today is hump day in Winter Park and everywhere else, but tomorrow may present the REAL humps to overcome. Good luck to all. Traffic promises to be at times challenging. I TRY to stay away from politics, overall, so THAT is all she -- or, in my case, HE -- wrote on that one.

I was going to write a blog last night but this little thing called a Winter Park power OUTAGE got in the way. I threw in the towel shortly before it came back on. I am ADDICTED to electricity and internet and all things related. I would have been the pioneer first fed to wolves so that the others could survive! Just sayin'.

Okay, where to now?

Walking down Park Avenue today . . . . The Tiffany Deli now has 'NOW HIRING SIGN' out! So, heads up. I know the employees previously with Brandywine's and anxious to work there will be anxious to get started! I will be there opening day, no question. Good luck, Bobby & crew!

Parker -- my mascot, and, well, to my knowledge the only one Winter Park has other than the high school, which I'm thinking we need a mascot meeting -- is seeking Local LUVers to help celebrate all we have LOCALLY. This is planned to be sort of a best of based upon a few Locals who think THEY know just what the best stuff is Locally and WHY it is important to STAY Local! Sound like you? Yesterday's power outage prevented posting of the promo I helped broadcast yesterday and as it is pet related -- one of my favorites -- I was very disappointed. So, here it is today . . . . Woof Gang Bakery does a Local effort on facebook to help celebrate our four-legged LUVs each month. So, for August, they're hoping you may want to share photos of your fur-kids. Facebook fans will 'Like' photos and at the end of the month, the one with the most 'Like's will receive a full fur-kid grooming session! Think the Lion in 'The Wizard of Oz' . . . . spoiled and LUV 'n it! Send in your photos and your fur-kid could find that moment of Local LUV he / she dreams of at night . . . . along with large bones, bowls of kibble, slow cats, etc.
