Totally LOCAL Tuesday Is HERE!

Today is our second Totally Local Tuesday! And, as with the last one, I’ve been scrambling to try to accomplish all the things I hoped to. I'll get this all straight and working one way or another! A specific page has been established for this on facebook and any Local business interested in participating will be made an Administrator for posting what they wish to promote. You can now find that page easily by simply going to www.totallylocaltuesday.com. 'Like' it and watch for more and more TLT promotions going forward! It’s GOOD to support Local independent businesses. Not just good for them, but good for you, good for our community. Support the Local small businesses you LUV and you more ensure their survival, the likelihood they will grow, prosper and offer even more of what you LUV going forward. Hoping for even more diversity, or a certain type of business in the area? Supporting the ones you LUV now is going to increase the area’s attractiveness to other small businesses interested in opening.

Aside from all else, isn’t it just fun to be out meeting new neighbors and seeing others you haven’t seen in a while? Yes, it is! So, come out . . . . enjoy. Strive to go TOTALLY Local Tuesday, July 10!

Back To The Blog

Going to be trying to get back into this blog now and do it daily. In case you think otherwise, I’m going to confess something: it’s NOT always easy. So, I’m going to ask you for some help.

We’re going to do the ‘Give A Dog A Home’ spot, but it has occurred to me we need the flip side as well. I LUV, LUV, LUV my girls . . . . even as they’ve been driving me MAD today. But my life would not be complete without them. I know many of you are the same way. So, I’d like to also help you brag a bit about your furkids. So, send me pics! Funny ones are great, cute ones are wonderful and yes, yes, the most beautiful dog in the world needs to be seen. No specific criteria, just send me pics of your fur kids with some brief info and let’s show them off!

Additionally, the more I write the column in the Winter Park Maitland Observer the more I’m enjoying it, the more I realize just how many amazing people there are in our area. You may have heard about the term I coined: Parkpreneur. It’s basically any person, or business or any entity (group? . . . but not an inanimate object) which aids in making our community the unique place it is. So, I’m interested in hearing your nominations for a monthly Parkpreneur of the Month. No special parking spots, but yes, we’ll do a picture and celebrate what they are bringing to our community. Celebrate what you want more of, I say, and you’re likely to get it. Plus, we just need to hand out some pats on the back.
