Mattamy Homes U.S. Group, the U.S. division of Canada’s largest homebuilder, earned its second Grand Award in two years during the recent Home Builders Association of Metro Orlando’s Parade of Homes. The Orlando division earned the Parade’s Grand Award as the top homebuilder in the production homes category. Mattamy’s Captiva model town home at Lake Nona Preserve in East Orlando also won first place in the category of attached production homes priced under $300,000.

NAI Realvest recently negotiated a new industrial lease for 2,700 square feet at 1743 Business Center Lane in Poinciana CommerCenter East off Highway 17-92 in Kissimmee. Michael Heidrich, a principal in the firm, brokered the transaction representing the landlord, Maitland-based Small Bay Partners, LLC. High Grove Fractional Homes, LLC, a local residential builder, leased the space.

Cuhaci & Peterson Architects, located in Baldwin Park, recently was awarded a contract to design renovations to the 11,700-square-foot Orange County legal reporting building located on E. Colonial Drive and Summerlin Ave. in downtown Orlando. Cuhaci & Peterson was also awarded a contract to design four Aldi Supermarkets located in North and South Carolina and Orlando and the contract to design interiors for the Salt Therapy Room at Lady Lake Crossings in The Villages.

Integrity Home Loan of Central Florida is expanding its offices on International Parkway in Lake Mary. Matt Malloy, president of Integrity Home Loan of Central Florida, said the firm recently added 3,000 square feet of space to the Lake Mary headquarters facility bringing the total office space occupied at the 901 International Parkway building to 13,000 square feet.

Shaw Mechanical Services LLC of Orlando has been awarded a contract for the HVAC mechanical work at Valencia College Building 10 located at the Valencia College West Campus. The $1.9 million 11-month fast track project includes a state of the art energy efficient Smardt centrifugal chiller, pumps, variable air volume boxes, custom air handling units and a complete energy management system.

Incentive Properties at the Island Club, a gated residential community located on AAA Drive in Lake Mary, has started construction of a luxury home that will be priced at $485,000 when it opens later this year.

Mercantile Capital Corporation closed a record number of commercial loans in May. Chris Hurn, chief executive officer of Mercantile Capital Corporation, said the firm closed 11 loans to finance real estate projects valued at more than $33.2 million.
