Roney: Where it stops nobody knows

Everything in sight to do with our government gets larger at every glance. “Round and round it goes, and where it stops nobody knows!” The so-called Obamacare bill — which is a tax as everybody now knows — is part of a political ploy to swallow up all health care and put it under government control. The end of the line is, of course, socialism, an end that I foresaw and predicted in this column under the name “Phoenix” some seven years ago.

• Monica Crowley labels Barack Obama’s “health care” as “leftist insanity.” It is the pinnacle of “kook success,” she says. She foresees more joblessness and concomitant depression. Monica is a woman of great sense and phenomenal guts! What has happened here makes the leftist democracies of Western Europe look like pikers. Obama health care has nothing to do with your health. It is a ploy to grab power, and is the biggest tax ever foisted-off on the American public. When the government controls health care, it controls one-sixth of the economy — and it controls you. Obama now has increased government massively and has an enormous new source of income. His plan is all about wealth redistribution. In the “health care” bill there are, we have heard reported, 21 new taxes! Obama is now the greatest tax increaser in the history of our republic! The Supreme Court has now defined “tax” as something that Obama can use without limit. Of course there is no way to pay for all of this so it may eventually bankrupt the USA making us a Third World country, which is the “dream” of Obama, Soros and company. Of course, the downfall will occur on someone else’s watch — after Obama is safely out of office — and there is someone else to blame. Watch what happens with your doctor(s). Will you even be able to see your own doctor? Will doctors be forced to take many more patients? Will they unionize? Will they retire? Who will be on the “panel” that will decide what medication or procedure you will get? Will your doctor become a puppet of the federal government instead of your mentor? Monica Crowley asks, “What the (Bleep) Just Happened?”(her new book) noting that Obama has raised spending by 25.1 percent and it is still going up. His inflation is one of the biggest single taxes ever on the middle class. Obama doesn’t need a middle class, he needs a pauper class who will go along with his insanity — just look abroad. The American people hate what’s happening to our country. And, Miss Nancy, the Democrats passed the health care bill, and what we see in this bill, we don’t like! If this terrible bill is allowed to stand, it may be the beginning of the end of our constitution and our freedom.

We have never been a people to lie down and accept defeat.
